Disconnected

You wanted this,
You wanted me to be human,
To feel,
To express,
To think,
To act,
To become,
To live.

Not again,
No amount of flesh,
No amount of make-up,
No amount of false emotion,
Nothing can reconnect me.

I laugh in the night,
White cloth wiping away pity,
Taking each one,
The bitter hatred,
The putrid shame,
The heavy isolation,
The illusion of a creature,
Taking aim for our last destination.

Just to hear you screaming,
Just to hear you pleading,
To soak in the truth,
As the smoke clears,
You remain gripping tight onto life,
I place my heart in the last chamber,
Know that nothing has disgusted me more than you.

Ignited by a sacred fire,
The pieces of your heart,
Splatter against the wall,
Your existence seeping into the cement,
With each squeeze of the trigger,
I made you human,
As I remain inhuman,
Disconnect.

mercury yume Says:

this starts out very simple, but the image slowly appears.
I like the line 'I made you human', it implies the one being shot thought highly of themselves, but dying brought them back down to earth.
Great use of horror images again, of course.
