The Force ch.2
Chapter 3
A Fight
I was on Dantooine but didn’t know where to start my search for jedi or sith holocrons, I had herd someone speaking of a jedi enclave but it was infested with a dangerous amount of creatures. I walked toward a building that was close by to the landing pad, when I got through the door I noticed a desk to sign in at but I walked passed.
“Sir, Administrator Adaria isn’t taking any visitors right now.” A droid that manned the desk said. I didn’t reply, instead I pointed at the droid with my right index finger and flicked it up, as soon as I did the droids head flew off it’s body and I walked through the doors, the other people in the room began muttering to themselves, un aware I knew everything they were saying. Passed the doors I turned right then left down a hall, the door was locked but I easily crushed into a ball then threw it aside.
I directed my attention toward an older woman. “The administrator of this area I presume?” I asked her. A general and to soldiers pulled out blaster pistols.
“Guards, lower your weapons.” Ordered an older woman with grey hair, without another word they did as they were told. “We have a jedi in our midst; tell me what, is your business here?”
“I want to be granted access to the enclave.” I requested solemnly.
“I cannot grant one as young as yourself access, with out proving yourself first.” She said matter-of-factly.
“How do I prove myself?” I asked reluctantly, growing impatient.
“There are a number of ways, you can try with some of the soldier, clear out some of the mercenaries that harass the townspeople or you can clear the crystal cave of creatures, take you pick.”
“What if I do all of them?” I asked in a hurry.
“I’ll have to give you information on the jedi and where you can find out more of their teachings.” She was bribing me, and it worked.
“I’ll be back before the sunsets.” I told her confidently.
“General, why don’t you take him to the barracks?”
“...Yes Adaria.” The general left the room and left the soldiers, he grabbed me roughly and dragged me out of the room. “Listen kid, I don’t like it when outlanders best my men, I’ll kill you if win these fights.” He threatened.
“It’s not my fault if their weak.” I said to him darkly as he kept dragging me. We left the building and went to the right side.
“We have an outlander present with us today; give him punishment, first fight, the kid versus a rookie.” He said as he tossed me into a circle of soldiers, an in training cadet was shoved into the ring.
“I suggest backing away.” I said to the others, they paid no attention and the cadet drew a vibrosword. “Nice blade, hope you don’t mind if I take it.” I said confidently.
“You can try.” He taunted. I gestured for him to make the first move, he swung up at an angle but I easily dodged, he went to kick me in the chest but I crouched and spun around, the momentum allowed me to easily trip him, as he fell I broke his wrist and took the sword. When he finally hit the ground I held the sword inches from his neck.
“Try harder next time.” I stabbed the sword into the ground beside his head. “Whose next, this time could you just give me a senior officer, or the general himself would do fine… or both, I’ll gladly beat two of you.”
“Fine kid, you’ll fight me and my best soldier, Rahn.” He said plainly. He and a larger soldier walked in, “Everyone go find somewhere else to watch from, that’s an order.” The circle widened then disbanded into different groups.
The general stayed a distance; he used to blaster pistols, the large officer used two vibroswords. “No jedi tricks, little man.” The officer said.
“Sure.” I ran at him faster than belief, I had to jump to be able to attack him, I grabbed his head in my right hand and shoved, he went flying toward a rockface I ran up to his body as it shot through the air, my hand was over his face and before he knew what had happened I rammed his head into the ground. After disposing of the big guy I ran at the general, I pulled one gun from him, spun around, took the other and kicked him square in the chin, I rose up a few feet off the ground then landed on his back, I aimed a gun at each of them. “Looks like I won… I don’t why but I thought that would be hard.” I teased them.
“There’s no way you did that without help from a jedi.” The general accused me.
“Had I used the force you’d be dead, not injured, I think I’ll keep these blaster, just incase, and those vibroswords look like they could come in handy.” I trailed off I walked toward the soldier that was still on the ground. I yanked the swords from his grip and walked out into the field to see if I’d find anything of value… no too long after beginning my little trek I stumbled upon the crystal cave.
