KH Shards of Darkness - Ashi

...I've been working on this for WAY too long.

Here is the newly re-vamped Ashi Hotaru from my Kingdom Hearts fanfiction, Shards of Darkness. It's an Alternative Universe version of the story; written similar to WDBZ in fashion. Sure, it's a bit sueish, but I'm just doing it for my own personal enjoyment. If you dont like it, go someplace else

I was curious what Ashi might look like in a Squeenix style. So, I hunted down the character sketches for KH (which are NOT easy to find, at least not in good quality). This one is referenced from Aeris in KH1. I'll probably use Tifa for her KH2 outfit.

In the story, the "run of the mill" Disney characters have been replaced. While most of the original worlds exist (except two; one I axed because I HATE wonderland, and I changed Neverland), I added a lot of new worlds not necessarily related to Squeenix. The Disney Kingdom is now Jurai, and Goofy and Donald are no longer accompanying Sora. Frankly, I find them useless in the original game (Donald is much more useful in KH2 IMO), and I've never been found of Goofy. So...

This all started out as an RPG that and I tried to do, then the fandom killed her inspiration. Ashi was in there because she is my brain child, and when I adapted this to fit a story-version, I tried to axe her...but I hadn't the heart. She's kind of like the Goofy replacement, though she's a mixture of being an offensive fighter and a mage; there's another never-before-seen character of mine being the Supportive Mage type, so she's less offensive then Donald is (but she will, eventually, learn some offensive spells). She's kind of a defender-mage of sorts, not so much a white-mage.

Ashi and Shidou (aforementioned defender) are the Royal Guards of Jurai. Ashi is the Captian, and Shidou is the one under her; even though Shidou is much older then Ashi (aging as Jurain's do), she acts and looks like she's around 15/16. She does have her moments, of course. She and Sora will goof off, while Ashi usually will play the straight man. Oh, and Ryo-Ohki is with them, too! ^___^

Some of you might have noticed that I did a LOT of KH-Ashi inspired pieces back when Laz and I had the RPG; that's all changed. As you can see, her hair is very short right now; this is from the original char I designed, but decided to make her Ashi and kept the hair. I rather like her hair like that. In case you can't tell; Ashi now has an underlayer of black against the nape of her neck. About the only other thing similar between her old design and this one are the gloves (re-enforced so she can swing her Glaive around by the blade for some fancy attack work) and the tattoos on her arms. The one on her back changed a bit.

I really love this design now. I tried to make my lines as Squeenix as I could; but I said "FUDGE IT" on the shading and used my usual stuff. About the only thing I'm not totally happy with is the shading on her pants. I re-did it like 4 or 5 times, so I figured I'd be satisfied with that. Besides, I wanted some designs on them, so it kind of covers my mistakes. Heh.

Shidou will be next.
