Drew this with micron pens in a large MoleSkine Sketchbook, than scanned it in to color with photoshop. I was going for a watercolor type effect. I need to get brave enough to watercolor for reals!

I'm really becoming a fan of your moleskine drawings. The inking here is great, and I love those cool colors. The colors remind me somewhat of retro sci-fi artwork.

Looks great! Nice work with the details and the overall design. I very much like how you made the wings leathery as well as feathered, and the spike-like mane is very well done. I can't blame you for being scared to try watercolours; I am terrified of most traditional methods of colouring. xD;
