They really did have a really deep relationship, and Gabumon, despite disagreeing with Matt at times, he is loyal and always stood by him, where as, say Palmon, disagreed with Mimi when she got all spoiled and stuff by Otamon and Gekomon. I really loved these two.
i always thought that too. Gabumon never disagreed with Matt to the point where it strained their relationship. He was always loyal, even when they were together ont their owns.
