Story without a name so far! :D

The wooden fence creaked as the young girl jumped on top, throwing her arms open as she looked across the river as wind through her hair back. “Finally free of the group! No more rules for me!” She smiled accompanied by closing her eyes to prevent the wind blowing into them. The breeze gradually stopped within a few more seconds, allowing her to open her eyes as the wood gave another loud creak. The gate collapsed beneath her weight, forcing her to jump forward where she landed into the deep water of the river.
“My god! That’s cold!” The girl shouted out, frantically and clumsily rushing out of the water, wear she fell onto her hands and knees at the edge of the muddy banks. She turned over and sat there as the sun warmed her.

Wild horses covered the plains all the time now, but every herd seemed to have really strict rules. Those who refused to follow rules often fled the herd if they weren’t first chased out of the group. Humans have always wondered why had a bunch of similarities with horses. What other species besides breeds of horses do you think has a mane? Horses have, and have always had, the ability to take the form of a human, though no human has ever witnessed one of these moments.

“Elliot? Elliot?” A male voice called out. The girls ears twitched and turned in the direction the voice was coming from before scrambling for cover behind some bushes where she crouched down and peered through the leaves as a boy with dark black hair, ears, and tail stopped by the edge of the gate. “Damn, where’d that stupid girl get to?” He whispered, looking across the river before looking down at some of the broken remains of the gate.
‘Stupid?!’ Elliot thought, furiously pinning her ears back and scowling. ‘Damian is the stupid one!’ Brushing some of the sorrel hair out of her face, she watched as the boy walked away, and out of sight from where she could see through the bushes. She waited a few seconds before letting out a sigh in relief. Even for following the rules of the pack, Damian always seemed to be causing trouble. He was smart, she had to admit; he was always finding ways to annoy people and find the loopholes in the herd rules.
“There you are,” Damian spoke right into her ear, she could even feel his warm breath. Being the easily frightened horse she was, Elliot jumped to her feet, and turned to run before he grabbed her by the wrist. “Let go!” Elliot shouted, trying to pull away. Damian only tightened his grip and pulled her back a bit, his strength easily overpowering her own. “No. Your mother told me clearly that I was suppose to bring you back to the herd.” Damian replied, turning and beginning to pull her behind himself as he walked in the direction he’d come from. “I don’t want go back!” Elliot shouted back, managing to pull free of his grip. “I can’t stand all those rules! I want to do things my way and that’s final!” Her hands were held tight in fists as she struggled to keep a calm breath. She narrowed her eyes at Damian, her ears pinned back fiercely, only relaxing when she saw the sympathetic look in his eyes. “Really?” He asked quietly, Elliot allowing him to step forward without backing away. “Oh well!” Before she had time to react, Damian grabbed her by the wrist and started pulling her away again. ‘He tricked me!’
Elliot continued muttering to herself as she was forced to follow after the older stallion. Damian stopped walking just when they barely got in visual distance between them and the rest of the herd. He paused and looked back at her, before pulling her closer to him. “As lead stallion I won’t let my mares wander off into danger!” She pinned her ears father back, looking away as she noticed how close to him she was now. “Stop looking for excuses to be perverted!”
