this is my first ever try at realism, if thats what it is called. anyways this took me awhile and it is harder than drawing anime. and i also know that this doesnt look anything like bill and it sucks. it always looks alittle better in person, my scanner sucks and didnt pick up the shading that much on the face. i dont know what else to write ..

Oh no, I think it looks plenty like Bill. And yah know, it all depends on what you are going for. What I see here is looking pretty good so far. I can also tell where there seems to be a slight curl in your paper, which affects how we see it. You've captured the hair resting and flowing around the head real good- it looks nice and full. The shape of the nose is also pretty strong aswell. It just seems like you haven't finished a couple of areas like the mouth, neck, and cheeks, which are coming along. Also remember to have a nice range of darks to lights in the shading. Nice drawing and first attempt. Bill is so wonderful to draw!
