The World Is Not Enough
You say you want it all – the money, wealth, and fame
But did you realise that this is, in effect, your own downfall?
Fighting hard all your life, you wish to be more than nothing
As nothing constitutes to the lowest spec of life
There’s one lesson you should learn from the rage:
And that you can’t have it all.
You can’t waltz in, take the title, then leave.
You can’t just push past everyone in the queue
There’s a line here, do you see?
There’s a line here, do you see?
You can’t fit it all – you can’t pack a circle into a box
The world isn’t big enough for us all to fit into
We’re all sardines into trying to find our own pace,
And when we get it we’ll never want to give it up
Didn’t you listen to yesterday’s news?
They talked about the prices falling and rising like the shores,
But I don’t think anybody bothers to turn the heads
Everybody watches with intense confirmation
It’s like watching the tides lap the shore
There’s a coastguard here to save you, do you ever learn?
There’s a coastguard here to save you, do you ever learn?
The world is not enough for the both of us
You’re trying to fill it up with your children
You’re trying to run us into the ground
With all your leeches running us dry day by day
And no we cannot stand this any longer
Did you ever hear the saying...
“The Mirror Which Flatters Not”
You say you want to be the king; you want to rule the world
The world can’t have one imperial ruler
Even though others like to differ
We fight to gain courage of heart
But we quiver at the sight of God,
We quiver at the nearing end
Who knows if there’s a higher power?
For centuries and thousands of years,
We’ve always searched for god
But all we’ve found is this calling card
Saying that God will get back to us
You can’t fill the tunnel with cement, it’ll wipe out history
You can’t just throw everyone off the cliff
It’ll bring you a life waiting for the needle
And every day we think of our impending doom
Just think of the time you’ve spent pulling the strings
The conclusion is, that the world isn’t enough
You want it all, you want more – you want everything
I can’t see the point in fighting for this patch of land,
In the end you’ll just throw me into a ditch
So I’ll leave the table, without leaving my cash too
And forget about this duality in everything
The ying-and-yang is in each of our hearts
(The prophets talk to us from their graves)
The ying-and-yang is in each of our minds
(The prophet influences our everyday decisions)
And simply the word isn’t enough
And simply the world isn’t enough
And simply the world isn’t enough
Just listen to me will you: the world ain’t enough!
The world is not enough for the both of us
You’re trying to fill it up with your children
You’re trying to run us into the ground
With all your leeches running us dry day by day
And no we cannot stand this any longer
Did you ever hear the saying...
“The Mirror Which Flatters Not”
The world is not enough for the both of us
You’re trying to fill it up with your children
You’re trying to run us into the ground
With all your leeches running us dry day by day
And no we cannot stand this any longer
Did you ever hear the saying...
“The Mirror Which Flatters Not”
