Dear Jenny

I'm going on a long, long journey
With a dear, dear, old friend.
Someone tell my love 'cause I
Ain't coming back.
Send a letter, give a call to
My dear old Jenny in Texas.

Well, I was sitting by the road
All broke and depressed,
My friend, he came along, said,
"Why don't we have a walk."
He took me to places I've no more imagined
Pits of fire, and flowing River Styx.
Yes, my friend, dear Ole' Devil
Took me on a long, long journey.

Won't you please tell my Jenny,
That I'll be waiting for her here.

New poem, all right.

This one was inspired by when I was listening to a ton of blues songs, so imagine this as a blues song. Try it.
