The Falconer

A Falconer once had a mew.
Perhaps he even had two.
But his last bird had died.
He stood there and cried,
"Now what am I going to do?!"

Talk about a blast from the past...

I was tidying up my room (mostly looking for my last credit card statement, though I may do that room meme thing once it becomes presentable enough, anyway, I digress) when I come across this colorful piece of construction paper with a Red-tailed Hawk's pinion feather glued to it. So I pick it up, and see it's one of the pages of a poetry book that I did waaaaaaaaaay back in Fifth grade... (that was like what... 12, 13 years ago?).

Not only that, but my personal favorite out of all the poems I did then. So I thought I might share it all with you.

If I find the rest of the book somewhere in that mire my brother and I call a floor, I might share the rest as well.

P.S. You get a cookie if you can guess what kind of poem this is. Suffice to say they are my favorite :D
P.P.S. Cubey get's the cookie. :D
