Description

Okay, so this is less of a real art piece and more of a vent piece for my character, Khalon Govind. Lately I've been having a lot of issues connecting to him and getting familiar with his character, and it seems like he's fallen into some sort of rut. You see, I'm a back-seat driver when it comes to these guys. My characters just kinda do their own thing with a little bit of my guidance, so Khalon here, usually chipper and friendly, has fallen into some sort of depression. Whether it be from neglect (from me as his creator) or other things, I'm not sure, but he's got friends he needs to be there for, so he and I are doing our best to bring him back to normal. (Do I sound crazy yet...? Good.)

Anywho, so I did this sketch as something to hopefully help him get over whatever is bothering him. As far as the actual art goes, it's nothing special. I used this lovely stock image from Wookiestsock as a reference and the pose in his picture was so capturing that I tried my hardest to get it exact... And it's pretty close, so I'm pleased! Hope you guys enjoy it.

Thanks, Wookiestock, for providing DA with your splendid stock images! ;D

Aww, we all find ourselves in a position like that sooner or later. Feel better Khalon. :3

Sweet pose as well, even if it's referenced.

Aaaaaaaagh, the fact that you can draw that pose is amazing And I understand that first paragraph entirely.

¤I totally understand what you mean by being outta touch of your character.¤

Nesnja Says:

I love how real your characters are to you. And that pose is amazing

AngelsWing Says:

Actually, thus far you have made complete sense. It depends really on how you see your characters. If you see them as I often do, they create so much personality themselves that it's almost as if they are individuals just sitting around my head/house, and I'm the one who must bear the story of their lives. This picture is truly an inspiration, as I can relate to it and your situation well. ^-^ I hope things go better.

Apollyna Says:

I know all about having a connection with your characters xD

This is amazing, and I sincerely wish him a good... recovery? I think that's the word I want.
