Wrath bolted upright and immediately opened his eyes. A cold hand like polished metal pressed against his bare chest. He followed the pale arm with his eyes to a pair of silver eyes hidden behind a white mask inlayed with silver. It was the woman from the masquerade ball still dressed in her elegant ball gown. His head swam with confusion as his eyes took in the white room around him carefully decorated in silver accents.
“How do you feel?” She asked him, gently removing her hand from his chest.
“Confused” he replied, rubbing his face with his hands, “What happened?”
“You pulled liquor out of your jacket pocket” she smiled as if remembering something amusing, “and fell off the balcony.”
“I fell off a balcony?” he said, putting his hand under his chin and cracking his neck to both sides, “and that put me out?”
“Actually the hard liquor might have done that first” she was laughing at him under her breath.
Wrath glared at her, “Getting drunk I can imagine, but I sure don’t feel like I feel off a balcony.”
She just shook her head still laughing, “I gave you a blood injection, I figured you’d want it.”
“You keep syringes around this place?” that seemed odd to him.
“Only for when drunken guys fall off my balcony”
The harden glare he shot her was suppose to shatter he laughter like glass, but instead her giggling only became more pronounced. Wrath swung his feet off the bed and glowered at her.
“Where are my clothes women” he growled at her upon finding himself in just his pants.
She snickered and paced to the door where she pickup his clothes from a table and flung them across the room to him. As he dropped his boots on his foot and cursed she giggled again and stepped out of the room. It wasn’t until she’d been gone a few moments that he noticed the careful stitch work done on the tears in his clothes from his fall.
