hey guys! I'ce attempted one of the hardest things in the word...
attempting to make anime characters real!
Here is my attempt at goku I've looked at his cartoon counter part and have attempted to translate it into real life features of the face...
What do you think?..

After viewing the Vegeta pic and then this, not bad... I like what you're trying to do. Definitely a change. Although for this one pic, there's a few things I noticed that seem.. off. Goku's neck is far larger than his head. Normally it seems the neck is a HINT thinner or the same width as the head. For a more realistic look, perhaps add a few curves to the face. People's faces are pentagon-ish, but there's plenty of curves and natural features. As for the hair, the only think I can think of is to try and make the hair realistic - add more than spiky hair - make some of it a bit frayed/break up the chunks, if you get what I mean. Otherwise it's not too bad.
