Ever watched one of thoes war movies where the girl's beloved goes to war and she does not know if he'd ever return to her. She keeps waiting and waiting on a hill for him to return.
The days grows longer and she is about to give up hope, when he comes walking upon the hill.
She can't believe her eyes, she thinks she's dreaming, then she realizes its real and runs over and jumps into his arms crying of happiness.
Well I had that scene in my head and I wanted to draw it out, in this picture, its Kaize returning from war and Umeko is overjoyed to see him.
