YTHF ch.1-The return of Mephiles

*11 YEARS ATER THE EVENTS IN TDSOJ*

Yuken was walking in the pile of grass and sniffed in the air. He had been happy living his peaceful life. He was one of the best fighters in the world, he was the grandson of the almighty Joineth Salamendren. He kept walking when he saw his friend Kasei, who stopped in front of him.

Yuken: Hey Kasei! What's up?

Kasei: Not much............Kinetsu said he wants us to go through sort of training today?

Yuken: *looks down* Yeah, I know, sheesh, it seems so shaky, I'm getting this feeling all of a sudden.

Kasei: What kind of feeling is it? *looking confused*

Yuken: *confused as well* Not sure.......maybe that "excitement" feeling.

Kasei: Heh, I see. Well, I'll chat with you later, bye Yuken!

Yuken: Later.

Then she ran off to where she was going.

Yuken: Hmhmhmhmh.

Kinetsu apperead in front of Yuken.

Kinetsu: Hey Yuken, how's it going?

Yuken: Nothing much.

Kinetsu: You ready for the training procedure I'm going to put you through? You might not like it. I mean, your dad is gonna kil me, but I talked it out with him.

Yuken: What type of training are me and Kasei doing?

Kinetsu: Something dangerous...............your gonna train at 50 times normal gravity, then 100, and then 150. To make it more difficult, you must dodge blasts, spears, swords, and any other objects, destroy them if you have to.

Yuken: So this is more of a survival type training?

Kinetsu: Yeah, I guess so.

Yuken: ....................Just I don't think I'm ready, that's all.

Kinetsu: Cheer up kid, you got a lot of training to do, and a whole lot of other things to think about.

Yuken: Yeah, your right, I guess so.

Kinetsu: I'll see you back at home, later Yuken!

Yuken: Got it.

After Kinetsu left a black and green light filled the sky and something dropped out of it.

Yuken: What the?

A creature that looked like Shadow but with blue on his head appeared before Yuken.

Mephiles: ................Finally it feels good to be back................Hm, your energy feels a bit, familier somehow.

Yuken: Who are you?

Mephiles: My name is Mephiles the dark. What is yours?

Yuken: .................Yuken Salamendren.

Mephiles: So, what happened? Did Joineth have a kid or something?

Yuken: How do you know about my grandfather? Look, I'm the son of his son, Iruken Salamendren.

Mephiles: Hmhmhmhmhmhm, I see. Well, if you want to know how I know your grandfather, I use to fill his life with depression, and unleashed a monster that the world had never seen for many years.

Yuken: ............................

Mephiles: But I'm back, and this monster I unleashed is now gone, but it doesn't hurt to go and hurt a few people.

Yuken: *gets in battle position* Ha! You'll have to get past me first!

Mephiles: I have no time to waste my power on a weakling like you...............but know this, I will have you face pummeled in the dirt.

Yuken growled at that message, dashed toward Mephiles and tried punching him, but Mephiles teleported away and appeared behind him.

Mephiles: I guess it wouldn't hurt to have a bit of a practice before going to kill someone.

He blasted Yuken to the ground. Yuken recovored from it, and dashed toward Mephiles and tried kicking him, but Mephiles caught his leg, spun around in a long circle, but Yuken countered it but flipping himself, kicking Mephiles away.

Mephiles: *wipes blood from mouth* Not bad for a little shrimp. You aren't actually that bad, I'll give you that.

Yuken: Well, I have to say the same thing to you.

Mephiles: We'll continue our fight later........I wouldn't want to finish you off right now.

Yuken: Grrrrrrrrr.............fine, we'll call this a draw, but I will beat you tomorrow, that I promise.

Mephiles: You remimd me so much of Joineth, he always wanted to "promise" he'd do something, when he never even got it done *laughs and teleports away*

Yuken: You little scaredy cat! Come on out and face me!

Mephiles: You even act like him, he said the same thing when I teleported away from him when I battled him one time. He wanted me to come out, but I never did, he even asked for death...........did I give it to him? Yeah right..........like I would give him death. I didn't want to kill him, not until I had unleashed the monster known as Chronicle.

Yuken: Well, that gives me a but of what happened to my grandfather in the past.

Mephiles: Heh, you'll understand more, but now's not the time to learn about peoples pasts. I must be on my way, I'll see you later.

Yuken: Whatever, just go.

Mephiles: My my, in a bad mood?

Yuken: You have no idea...............well, maybe, but I'm just a bit stressed out from something I'm going to be doing in the future.

Mephiles: And that would be?

Yuken: None of your buisiness.

Mephiles: *closes eyes and goes away*

Yuken started to walk away and got back home with the others. He wiated by the door with Kasei and Kinetsu for a few and them someone came by the door. It was Zolorod.

Zolorod: Yo! What's up guys?

Kinetsu: ...................Meh, nothing much I guess.

Kasei: Let's go visit the whole traingy thingy now already!

Yuken: Agreed.

Zolorod: This way please.

Zolorod led the three through a forest and up to an old temple. It lookd ancient and rusted, but the inside was all base like, as if it were built for a military. Zolorod walked up to an machine and got examined by it. Yuken took this time to talk with Kasei.

Yuken: So Kinetsu told me what the training will be like.

Kasei: Really? What did he say it'll be like?

Yuken: Something about a survival training.......we have to train while dodging sharp objects like spears and knives, and maybe a few other things. We may destroy the items, but one thing is certain, WE are responsible for our own death, so don't deing in there, ok Kasei?

Kasei: Wow...........ok.

Kinetsu: And this aint no joke either, you must survive in any way possible. Also, Yuken forgot to tell you something *smiles*

Yuken: That's right.........................not only are we doing surivival training, but we gotta go at a gravity level of 50 times normal gravity, then 100, and possibly 150.

Kinetsu: Quickly turns around* No! 150 is way too much, you'll be flattened within seconds!

Yuken: Well, you can stand it right?

Kinetsu: ...............................Alright, listen, you MIGHT be able to withstand 150, but you'll be going at a speed that would make you almost slower than a turtle.

Kasei: Whoa.................

Yuken: Totally. Hey Zolorod?

Zolorod: Hm? What is it?

Yuken: Have you done this type of training before?

Zolorod: HELL NO! And I don't ever want to.

Kinetsu: Then you'll never get strongr than what you already are.

Zolorod: Heh, don't worry. I get my strengh from natural progression, anger, and some other things, you know?

Kinetsu: You remind of me, for some reason.

Zolorod: Whatever.

Yuken: Do you mind showing us how this works Zolorod?

Zolorod: I won't but Kinetsu here would be very very happy to show you.

Kinetsu: *growls and walks inside* Jerk-ass.

Zolorod turned the machine to 150 times Earth's gravity, Kinetsu almost fell, but he kept his ground, and doged 5 beams that came at him. A spear came st his face but he batted it away. Yuken and Kasei watched in amazement as Kinetsu was dodging beams, spears, and other sorst of things that could potentionally harm him. A big cannon came out of the top and pointed toward Kinetsu.

Kinetsu: (Oh great...............oh well, I aint gonna block this one, to prove I aint some wimpy trainer to the kids)

He got in a position where he could be hit, and was ready. The big cannon charged an electrical blast and shot at Kinetsu, which hit him full force. The room shook, and Yuken had a worried look on his face.

Zolorod: As much as I hate to say it *smiles* Kinetsu has survived it, don't worry.

Yuken: Are...are you sure?

Zolorod: Of course I'm sure, Kinetsu's been in situations like this before, he won't back down.............but he's trying to prove something.

Yuken: What would that be?

Zolorod: He don't like being shown off, treated like a coward, but he don't wanna make it look like he's a wuss in fron of you guys.

Yuken: Why would I believe that? Besides you, he's the best person to ever train me.

Zolorod: *giggles* Thanks kid.

The smoke cleared out, Kinetsu was breathing and panting, and was on one knee.

Kinetsu: Ah! Damn it! I forgot how strong the cannon was..................ARGH!

He got up, and then dodged a spear that was coming at him, but then a small hunting knife sliced right by his cheek and cut him for a bit. He fell on the ground holding his cut face.

Kinetsu: Dang, I need to better than that!

He got back up and created a force field which knocked most the incoming items and beams away from him. Then he waited for more weapons to come at him, which a spear did. He easily jumped and kicked it away. Then he teleported behind another knife, grabbed it, and started chopping at most of the stuff that was coming at him.

Kasei: Yeah! Go Kinetsu!

Kinetsu felt the need to do even more, so eh did, he blanced himself on one hand and used the other to knock off weapons, then he quickly landed back on both feet, kicking a spear on the way, then a spear was right at his face as it stopped.

Zolorod: That wouldve been your head Kinetsu. Your lucky I stopped it in time.

Kinetsu: HEY! I COULDV'E STOPPED IT!

Zolorod: Heh.

Kinetsu slowly walked out of the room and then home with the kids.

Yuken: That was some intense training you did there Kinetsu. So thats what were going through?

Kinetsu: Yes, now, keep your mouth shut, and walk home, UNDERSTAND?

Kasei: You still must be in a bad mood from Zolorod did to you.

Kinetsu: ..........................................

Yuken: Cmon guys, let's not argue, let's just walk home.

Kasei: Yeah, your right.

When they got home, Yuken headed strait to his bed and sat by the window. Kasei came in and slowly walked toward him.

Kasei: Something wrong Yuken?

Yuken ignored what she said and continued to stare out the window.

Kasei: Yuken listen to me, I KNOW something's wrong with you, tell me what it is.

Yuken: I'm just so excited about this training, and uh well.........you know, let me ask you something.

Kasei: *sits next to him* Just tell me Yuken, I'm your friend, you can tell me anything.

Yuken: Well, what I have to ask is....how would you feel if you faced off against one of your opponents greateast rivals?

Kasei: I've never seen my grandfather, so I wouldn't know what it would be like. Why do you ask?

Yuken: Because I faced my grandfather's enemy, Mephiles the dark.

Kasei: Your not serious? He was supposed to be dead!

Yuken: Well, apperently he's back somehow.

???: Allow me to solve this all for you.

Yuken: *gets up* Who are you?

Soulkin: *grins* My name is Soulkin. I was the one that revived him..........and now, I'm going to destroy the entire universe using him help.

Kasei: What?

Soulkin: *puts hand out* I'm not done yet. He told me that he met you today........isn't that right, Yuken the hedgefox?

Yuken: Grrrrrrrrrr...............

Soulkin: And you've agreed to fight him tomorrow, what a treat.

Kasei: Yuken you didn't?

Yuken: Sorry Kasei, but it's true. I have agreed to fight Mephiles.

Soulkin: I'll never understand you Salamendrens.....................you guys always love a good fight, and look where it got you! You only have a few Salamendrens remaining.

Yuken: Don't mock my race! They were a great brand of warriors until someone screwed it up.

Soulkin: Hmhmhmhmhmhmh, so what if someone destroyed the planet? It's not my problem!

Yuken: YOU EVIL LITTLE!

Kasei: *blocks Yuken* Yuken please don't............we can't waste out time on him right now, don't let him get to you.

Soulkin: What's this? You have to get your girlfriend to help you? *laughs*

Yuken: She's just my friend Soulkin! Obviously you don't know what it's like to have friends...................

Soulkin: Your wrong on that one Yuken. I have two members on my team, and their almost stronger than me.

Kasei: .................................

Yuken: .................................

Soulkin: But oh well, I'll see you all later, perhaps tomorrow. Later now! *flies away*

Yuken: Fine.........see you later, big jerk.............

Kasei: Cmon Yuken, don't waste your energy on him, he's not worth our time.

Yuken: *sighs* Fine, ok, I'm going to bed now, I'll see you later Kasei.

Kasei: Got it, goodnight Yuken. *hugs him*

Yuken: You too Kasei. *hugs her back*

Then Yuken went to bed, watching his friend walked out. He then turned his head over by his pillow and slowly drifted off to sleep. Would he be able to defeat Mephiles in time to train with Kinetsu an Kasei?
