May helped Emerald back to his feet, Sandra ran over and healed him with some of her energy.

Emerald: Thanks Sandra.

Sandra: No problem, now lets get to the others, they might have finished one of the demons off by now.

Emerald: Or maybe not, look.

Emerald was telling the truth, the same demon brother he knocked in the air got back up and looked toward the three fighters. Sandra stood out in front and held her hand out in front of her.

Sandra: Pyro explosion!

A big toward of flame and heat scorched the demon brother, which slowly floated out of it, smiling.

Demon brother #2: That was pathetic........time to end this!

He threw three small knives at them, which Emerald knocked off with his sword.

Emerald: You two! Run and stay somewhere right now!

May did exactly what he said and grabbed Sandra's arm and got out of the place, and went by Ryuzaki, standing there silently.

Ryuzaki: Sandra, May, stay close.............

May brought Sandra over to Ryuzaki.

Ryuzaki: Listen, if you don't believe in these demon brothers, they wont harm you, because remember, they have ghost powers in them, and if you don't believe in ghosts, well, they wont be able to hurt you girls.

Sandra: I believe in them, they scare the crap outta me!

Ryuzaki: ....................huh? Get down now!

Sandra ducked, and the demon brother missed a punch, which gave Ryuzaki the opening he needed, and sliced the demon brother with a slash of his sword, sending it flying.

Ryuzaki: Alright, if you believe in them, but want to fight, then do so Sandra, other than that, stay down!

Sandra sat down quietly on the rock and overlooked the battle between Ryuzaki and the demon brother. Ryuzaki pushed the demon brother away as he pulled his sword out, threw it at the demon brother, then started throwing his hands around, controlling the sword using his energy.

Demon brother: *taking slashes* grrrrrrrrrrrrr, your making me mad, and the demon brothers hate getting mad!

He threw his fist out and cought the blade, teleported behind Ryuzaki, and punched him down. Then he dashed toward Ryuzaki and tried stabbing him, but Ryuzaki activated a force field which knocked the monster off.

Ryuzaki: How'd you like that huh?

Iruken: Ryu duck down!

Ryuzaki heard what Iruken said and ducked down, the demon brother and Iruken flew by Ryuzaki's head. Iruken went to punch the demon brother but it dissapeared. The Iruken looked up to the demon brother, which went to punch the young hedgehog, but Iruken jumped out of the way. The ground crumbled at the punch, then the ghost brother dashed toward Iruken, but Iruken teleported away befor the demon got there. Now Iruken came from behind with a punch from behind, but the demon brother ducked and threw a punch of his own, hitting Iruken's soft gut.

Demon brother: Let's stop with the punching and move onto something like this?!

He put his hands on Iruken's face and blasted him a few feet back.

Iruken: That one actually hurt, not bad.

Demon brother: Thanks.

Then Ryuzaki tackled the demon from behind and held onto him.

Ryuzaki: Iruken! Use some sort of stomach peircing move now!

Iruken: *gasps* What about you? You cant hold him without dodging.

Ryuzaki: Just do it! I'll think of something.

Iruken did so and put his hands in a healing position and closed his eyes. Green aura surrounded him as his eyes opened and he held his palm out, energy gathered.

Iruken: Get ready demon! YOUR GOING DOWN!

He blasted a small green beam at the demon brother. Ryuzaki flinched as he pushed the demon in front, and got next to Iruken.

Ryuzaki: Do it now!

Iruken: Got it! Salamendren beam!

Ryuzaki: Chaos desolation!

The two powerful energy beams combined into one and finished off the demon brother, it faded away as it cracked everywhere, then it exploded, nothing stood there.

May: They finally got rid of one of them.

Sandra: Yes, I was worried about brother for a bit.

Iruken: *walking up to Sandra* I'm fine now sis!

May: Ok. Wait........werent you with Spongejr?

Iruken: oh crap! Your right! He was supposed to be with me, but I think he might be helping Nova or Emerald.

Meanwhile, Joineth was fighting off Chronicle, but he wasn't going to make it. Chronicle was blocking every punch Joineth threw at him, and threw back his own. He grabbed Joineth's leg, and smashed him into the ground.

Joineth: I will not lose to you!

Chronicle: Ha! You can't even damage me! What are your chances of winning Joineth?!

Joineth: I'll beat you somehow!

He jumped up and kicked Chronicle, which Chronicle only flinched at, and beamed Joineth back a few feet a way.

Joineth: every move I use on him, doesnt even work............can he be beaten?

Chronicle: No, I cant...........I am much more stronger then you Joineth, I am much stronger then anything in the universe. If you think I'm wrong, then come at me, with Everything you've got!

Joineth: If you say so!

He charged all his power into his fist, dashed toward Chronicle, and punched him really hard, then he waited for a few seconds, and fell on one knee. He looked up at the dust, which Chronicle floated out of, and Joineth looked terribly shocked.

Joineth: I put every once of my energy into that punch...........why didnt it work?

Chronicle: Like I said Joineth, I am more stronger then you................but that one actually hurt me.

Joineth: I wont be able to go on much longer *falls on hands on knees* this really is the end................

Chronicle grinned at that sentence and slid toward Joineth, thrusted his leg up, kicked Joineth in the air, teleported behind him, punched him down, got in front of him, and elbowed Joineth in the nose. Joineth fell on the ground, writhing around, holding his nose, grunting, and squirming around.

Chronicle: How does it feel Joineth? HUH? HOW DOES IT FEEL?!

He walked over and kicked Joineth's gut, then slowly stepped on Joineth's arm.

Chronicle: This is going to end Just like last time..........how pathetic.

He raised his leg up and slammed down on Joineth's elbow, breaking his arm. Joineth screamed and yelped in pain as he jumped back up, kicking Chronicle away, only to be slammed into a tree. Chronicle charged a small purple ball in one hand, tele-kickd Joineth, jumped up, kicked him, then grabbed his neck.

Chronicle: *puts hand on Joineth's neck, but then his heart* I need to pick a good location for your death............after all, it'll be something specail, you know?

Joineth: No......I don't want to die, not now, I wont let it end this way *clenches hand into fist* I thought you wanted to have some fun, you bastard!

He kicked Chroncile away, did a few feet back, held his palm out, and aimed it below Chroncile's feet. A red circle was placed around Chronicle's feet as a big explosion filled the place, but Chronicle teleported out of it, and appeared behind Joineth and kicked him.

Joineth: He's too fast, how could he predict that attack?

He went to look at Chronicle but he was gone. Joineth got up, and Chroncile did another slip kick, tripping Joineth, then he put his hands on Joineth's chest, hit him with an air blow, teleported above him, and slammed him into the ground. He picked him up again and put the blast up to his heart.

Chronicle: Wait *puts hand down* before I end this..................I need to make sure you wont counterattack, so I'll do this.

He stretched out his arm, put it behind him, and punched Joineth's nose real hard. Joineth squirmed for a few seconds and then hung completely still.

Chronicle: NOW I can end this!

He made the blast grow bigger as it ripped through Joineth's shirt, peirced through his skin, and blasted through his chest. He screamed and grunted with agony.......but it wasnt that loud. After a few seconds later, Chronicle tossed Joienth down on the ground, walked over to him, and stared at his body.

Chronicle: I wish it didnt have to end that way Joineth. Looks like I'll have to find someone else to fight.

Joineth laid on the ground, shaking, everything was going black, he had never felt pain this much every since he had lost hsi old wife and his best friend Zolorod. But Zolorod had been brought back to life. Joineth smiled and closed his eyes, and grunted, he saw something flash before his eyes. It was a picture of him and his family. Then he saw Iruken and Sandra float away.

Joineth: Sandra! Iruken! Wait please! Don't go!

Iruken: Dad..............you can't lose, not now! Get up and at least finish Chronicle before passing away.............

Joineth: Son he's too strong, how will I be able to beat him?

Sandra: Use the technique on him!

Joineth: Technique?

Iruken: You tought it to use..................remember? You called it the salamendren bomb blow..............use it to defeat Chronicle.

Joineth: But it risks using up all of the negative energy and turning me evil!

Sandra: Then your going to die! Please, do it this once father, it might not have worked when you used it last time, but I'm sure it'll work this time! Trust me! I have faith in you!

Joineth: Always with the faith thing......fine, I'll do it.

Then Joineth opened his eyes, and slowly got back up. Chronicle stopped walking and turned around.

Chronicle: Persistant eh? You still want to take some more? You sure are eager to end this fight very fast.

Joineth: Your right, I like to end my fights fast..........but this *charges energy* is it! It's over Chronicle! this fight ends now!

Chronicle: *stands still* Please do show me what you can do to "finish me off"........I'd like to see it.

Joineth: *winds blows around him* Have it your way! But get this! When I finish using this attack, this fight shall end.............IN A DRAW!

Chronicle: What?

Joineth: *holds both hands out and charges nega energy* I'm going to make sure, that you don't survive this attack Chronicle! YOUR LIFE ENDS NOW!

Chronicle: Wh-what?

Joineth: Not even you can survive this one!

Two big energetic arms came from the ground and grabbed a hold of Chronicle. Joineth stared at him for a long time and then held his hands out.

Joineth: Salamendren bomb blow!

Two big waves of red energy engulfed Chronicle as the arms still held on. Joineth threw his hands in the air and then in front of him, and the blast got bigger. Chronicle started to fade away.

Chronicle: Argh! Joineth, you were..........right! But know this, someone, someday, will be there to take my place! JUST WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIT! *fades away in blast*

Joineth smiled as Chronicle dissapeared out of sight. He then slowly dropped his hands down, and fell onto the ground. He coughed up blood and grunted.

Joineth: No, not now.............I aint gonna die, not yet, not until the others, not until the others see me *lays down silently*

Emerald was having a bit of a challenge on the demon he was facing, it kept knocking him down, but he got back up. The demon brother was about to stab him when Nova came out of the sky, and kicked it away. Nova put his hands in front of him, closed his eyes, and charged energy, then his eyes went fully blue as a blue ball blasted the demon into oblivion. Then Nova walked over to Emerald.

Nova: *holds out hand* Cmon, lets get Iruken and the others and try to find Joineth.

Emerald: *gets up* got it!

Spongejr dodged a punch from the ghost brother but didnt expect to get kicked by it. He flipped back, but the demon brother chased after him. Spongejr teleported behind him.

Spongejr: Hey..........I'm behind you, pal!

He kicked the demon brother away, teleported above it, beamed it to the ground, dashed in front of it, kicked it again, and then double punched it.

Spongejr: Give up.....you'll never win, not against me!

Demon brother #3: Grrrrrrrrr..............you seem to have been a good fight now, but I assure you I'm going to win this!

Spongejr: Prove it.....................

The demon brother dashed at Spongejr but Iruken came in, holding his hand in a punch motion, which slammed into the demon's face, cracking it.

Iruken: Lets do this Spongejr!

Spongejr: Hmph.

The two warriors dissapeared and reappeared, flashing before the demon brother, hitting it with punches, kicks, beams, and blasts, The two kept doing it for a long time, then they appeared in front of the demon brother and charged a big blue blast, then beamed the demon brother sky high. It faded away in the blast as Iruken fell down.

Iruken: We did it, we finally did it.

Spongejr: Yeah, we finished them all off.

Ryuzaki: Heh, and I missed the fun, shows what good you guys are.

All three of them had a laugh at that joke, then they all met back up with Nova, Emerald, Sandra, and May, then they all went looking for Joineth.

Joineth: I hear some voices not too far away. Maybe their coming...........thats good.............

Iruken: *looks ahead* F-father!

They all ran up to Joineth. Iruken bent down on one knee and held his father's head up.

Joineth: Hey son, its *coughs up blood* great to see you *smiling*

Iruken: Yeah, great to see you too. *looks down at his chest* what happened?

Joineth: Let's just say, I used the salamendren bomb blast, and it worked, Chronicle...........is no more. I finished him off with that blast, but it seems, like the fight ended, in a draw.

Sandra: Dad, let me heal you!

She went to go heal her father, but he put his hand up.

Joineth: No Sandra, don't................don't heal me, I want to die this way. We'll call this battle: one of the best battles I ever fought.

Sandra: PLEASE FATHER I DON'T WANT YOU TO GO! I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU!

Joineth: You say that, as if, you care for me way too much..............*panting* Let it go Sandra, soon, I'm going to pass away, and there isn't a signle thing anyone can do about it.

Sandra: I......understand *cries*

Then Joineth looked up at Iruken and held out his hand. Iruken took it.

Iruken: What do you want me to dad?

Joineth: Listen, when I die, you'll be, the next one to lead this group, son................you, the team leader.

Iruken: M-me?

Joineth: Yes..............you must lead the team into a new era, an era of happiness, peace, hope, joy, and full of life. I'm leaving this up to you son.................

Iruken: *feels like crying* Are you, serious about this dad? You couldn't be.............I wouldn't be able to!

Joineth: You will, because you are a salamendren, and not only are you that, you are..............my son, and the best damn son there ever was!

Iruken: *smiles* I understand now father *tear rolls down* I get it.

Joineth: closed his eyes and grunted.

Joineth: Son, this is it..........I've always been with you, and Sandra, and I still will, when I pass away.

Ssandra: Daddy..........................

Joineth: To my teammates............you guys mean a lot to me, I've been there to keep you guys happy and feeling great, but now, Iruken will take over that now.

Ryuzaki: Yeah, I know.

Joineth: To the guys that I knew for only a bit....................May, Emerald, and Nova..............you guys were great to team up. Thanks for everything................

Emerald: No problem.

Nova: Anytime.

May: Thanks.

Joineth smiled as he slowly laid down on the ground and closed his eyes, then something came out of him, his spirit.

Joineth: Farewell..............my friends, and family *head drops to the side*

His spirit slowly lifted off his body and is floated off into the air, not seen by the others. Iruken shook him, but there was no response. Then Sandra cried. Iruken came over and hugged her.

Iruken: Let it out Sandra, just let it out.

Sandra kept on crying and pushed Iruken away and then walked over to Joineth's body and stared into him.

Sandra: I'll never forget you father. I'll always be your little angel, and you'll be watching me and Iruken....................

Iruken: *sits by Sandra* Now those were some very deep words you said, but like father said, we'll have to put this behind us and pass on with our lives.......................

He got up and held out a hand for his sister to grab. She took it, but didn't look at him, or anyone else.

Sandra: Your right brother, we should just forget about this...........let's all go home, and enjoy this victory we had *smiles a bit*

Iruken: Thats more like it sis.................yeah, let's all go home and keep this battle as a memory.

And they all walked home, side by side, not daring to look back at the scene that was a battle.................................
