The next morning was a very bright day, well, the beginning of it at least. Joineth woke up with a bit of a sore back from all the training that he did. He had trained for hours and hours and had woken up late, everyone was already up and going, waiting for Joineth to get up. Well, Joineth slipped into his red shirt and walked out into the kitchen, and was greeted by Sandra, who gave him a hug.

Joineth: Hey! Cmon! Sheesh Sandra! I'm fine! You dont need to worry about me.

Sandra: Sorry father, just I care way too much about you.

Joineth: ................................

A few minutes later, after Joineth had breakfast, but he was talking with Iruken while doing so.

Joineth: Well, we better hurry up. I've got a Chronicle to beat.

Iruken: Eager to fight him huh? Don't rush it dad, I dont even know why you wanna fight him.

Joineth: It might be, or my will to fight.

Iruken: .......................

A few minutes later, after Joineth finished breakfast and got up, and then he blinked.

Iruken: Father? Something wrong?

Joineth saw a picture of Chronicle flash before him.

Joineth: He's here!

Ryuzaki: Who is?

Joineth: You wont get that far away from me Chronicle!

May: Joineth dont go!

Joineth dashed out the door, chasing after what felt like evil energy. Iruken then gathered up the others and chased after Joineth, who had stopped, looking around the place.

Spongejr: J-joineth?

Joineth: keep it down..............get out here Chronicle! There's no use in hiding!

Joineth was right, Chronicle appeared, but Mephiles's energy was in the same place.

Iruken: How is his energy in the same place as Mephiles? It doesn't make any sense!

Chronicle: Oh it makes perfect sense...........I didnt need him anymore, so I killed him and took his energy *holds up blade, covered in Mephiles's blade.

Joineth: He definitely feels stronger with Mephiles's power...........this outta be a good challenge for me.

Chronicle: Not yet, I have to show soemthing specail to you first.

Joineth: Hm?

Chronicle held his hand up in the air and gathered energy, the sky turned a bit of a ligt black color, and then the single energy sphere went went in front of Chronicle and seperated into three other spheres, and took the shape of warriors.

Emerald: What the hell are those things?

Chronicle: Simple, mylong lost demonic......brothers.

Joineth: What?

Ryuzaki: Did he just say, brothers?

Chronicle: hmhmhmhmh............it might take a while to explain, but I'll be able to talk it out before killing you all.

Joineth: *stands completely still* start talking, Chronicle.

Chronicle: If you insist.............one day, in the land of the Salamendren's, there was a scientist, his name was Kreeku, he was working on different experiments, all with specail techniques and different abilites..........and I was the most powerful one, too powerful to be exact. When I was created, he had these three warriors created, and I was way too weak that the time, so he fused me with a hedgehog, and I took on its form...............then he had the three demons give me a portion of their power, but I absorbed more than that, becoming way too strong to control, so he locked me up after hitting me with a tranquilizer dart. but, sometime a few years later, the salamendren's sent Kreeku into Earth after creating me, they thought he built me for evil puposes..........turned out, they were right. Me and my brothers started to destroy the planet and take everyone down one after the other, then, I knew there was no way I could get out alive, unless I did the unthinkable, and posess someone..........so I chose you Joineth, you were put into a little capsule, so I resorted into a ghost-like body and trapped myself inside you, waiting for the right moment to escape.......which was a day ago.

Joineth: what about your brothers hm?

Chronicle: That's easy........they could survive in space, but they needed some sort of speed to keep up, so they also resorted to ghost forms and followed me to Earth. Then they simply followed you as you gew up, fighting off the dangers of Kreeku, against his two tough and most powerful creations besides me............Jaguaro and Soulkin.

Joineth: .......................................

Chronicle: Brings back memories of when they killed your best friend Zolorod huh?

Joineth: How do you know all of this?

Chronicle: Pf.........I've been living inside all these years Joineth........its pretty easy, youll know your target once you study them long enough, heh heh heh heh.................

Joineth: I see..........you studied me for so long, no wonder you were able to plot out all my moves and win against me.

Chronicle: Uh-huh.

Joineth: Thanks for the info, now I'll have a fair fight against you when we battle this time Chronicle!

Chronicle: Wait.......you tricked me.......JUST TO GET ME TO OPEN MY MOUTH?!

Joineth: Heh, and it worked, NOW your catching on!

Chronicle: *Gets very mad, growls but then calms down after* Well, its too late to know about it, but I do think its fair enough you shoudlve leanred more about your past.............but its getting way too boring for story time, so I say its time to end things here, dont you think?

Joineth: *Gets in battle position* Let's go!

Chronicle: *holds hand out* Not so fast...........I need to test out one of my guys first, heh heh heh............

Demon brother #1: *Dashes toward Emerald*

Emerald: hmph..........this'll be no problem!

He dashed toward the demon brother and pulled out a green blade, and sliced at the demon when they met.

Emerald: Argh! What the? MY ARM!

Emerald's arm............fell off, meaning the demon had a blade with him as well, which he revealed.

Emerald: How in the world?

Chronicle: Learn about something called the past my dear boy, then youll understand.

Emerald: Fine, tell me.

Chronicle: I dont want to, since Joineth tricked me, but I guess it wouldnt hurt to take a small request from someone is going to die!

Emerald: I'm not going to die, fool!

Chronicle: *laughs* You wish! But anyway..........as the experiments were created, the good scientists brought a specail chemical to us, and fused it with the demon brothers, giving them the ability to hide blades, do most stuff you guys do, and regeneration.

Emerald: *smiles* well, that gives me an idea.

Chronicle: what do you mean?

Emerald: Because saying regeneration......................makes me wanna do it!

He ripped the rest of his arm off, grunted and moaned, and grew back another arm. He was panting and gasping for breath as he slowly checked his arm, which was numb.

Chronicle: How did you ever get the ability to do regeration?

Emerald: Well, lets just say my name is Emerald...........I used to be a crystal, but now I can become a hedgehog, with regeration powers!

Chronicle: It explains why you didnt drop dead, writhing in pain. But enough of this! It's time to put an end to this game once and for all!

Joineth: ......................*looks over at sandra and May and teleports behind them* Look, May, when the fight starts, dont get involved, just take my daughter and run, she'll need someone to defend her, and thats why I want you to.

May: *nods* got it......you be careful Joineth.

Joineth: Hey, don't worry, ill have this guy taken down in no time.

Then he walked toward Chronicle and stood face to face with him. Emerald and the others were ready for the demon brothers, which charged toward them, and Sandra stayed close to May, who ran away with sandra.

Chronicle: Ya know, I was always wondering, Joineth?

Joineth: What is it?

Chronicle: *puts hand toward May and Sandra* Why do you have to protect such sons of bitches!

He shot blast toward the two girls, this made Joineth's adrenaline rush as he dashed toward the two and pushed them out of the way and took the blast for himself.

Sandra: Daddy!

Joineth: look, theres no need to mourn now, run, just run away Sandra, and don't stop, even if Chronicle gets in your way.

Then Chronicle appeared, kicked Joineth in the air, snapped his back, beamed him to the ground, then slowly landed on the ground and multi punched Joineth to a tree, and smashed him through it, then turned toward May and Sandra, who were already running away, but he teleported in front of them.

Chronicle: Going somewhere?

sandra: oh-

May: shit!

Chronicile double beamed then, teleported behind May, chopped her to the ground, grabbed Sandra by the leg, and slammed her into the same tree Joineth smashed into to, then he threw her into the air, did a few multi beams, and double fisted her into the ground. He took out the same blade he used on Mephiles, pinned her up to a tree, and spoke softly:

Chronicle: Got any last few words? I'd like to hear your last speeches before your throat is slit.

Sandra: yeah.......go, to, hell!

She kicked Chronicle's leg, which made him drop, but he got back up smiling. then she punched him strait in the face, which made him flinch, but no damage was done.

Sandra: What the?

Chronicle: That actually kinda stung, I'll give you credit for that, but still, it was pathetic, so I'll have you take care of right now.

He went to slice Sandra's throat when a beam hit his back and made him fall flat on the ground. Standing on top of a pile of trees, was Joineth, his shirt a bit ripped, he was bleeding, and panting.

Chronicle: *gets up and walks toward Joineth* Why'd you do that? I thought you were finished off.

Joineth: Look, make sure your opponent is finished off first...........or else you may get tricked. But let me ask, shy did you attack my daughter and May?

Chronicle: Because I had thught you were finished off, and since I was bored and had nothing else to do, I went after them.

Joineth: But your fight is with me Chronicle! Leave my friends and family out of this!

Chronicle: Fine, as you wish. I'll fight only, but I'll let the little worms go. Besides, I have no intention of fighting such weaklings anyway.

May: C'mon Sandra, lets go!

Sandra: Got it!

May took Sandra's hand and ran to a small cliff, watching the fight take place between Chronicle and Joineth, and the demon brothers and the group.

Nova: Let's take care of these things quickly, just incase Joineth don't make it out alive against Chronicle.

Ryuzaki: Yeah, i know.

One demon brother rushed afetr Ryuzaki, who hit it with a beam, but the demon blocked it.

Ryuzaki: What the?

It then tackles Nova and Ryuzaki down, but they got back up and punched the demon with at full power, knocking it back a few feet.

Ryuzaki: *charges a blast* Hold him down or multi punch Nova! Do something while I charge this blast.

Nova: *nods and starts multi punching the demon, blocking every hit*

Ryuzaki charged the blast for about 15 seconds, but then Nova was starting to lose energy by that time, and then he was knocked down by the demon brother, but he got up, only to be knocked down again.

Nova: Alright, your starting to piss me off!

He teleported behind the demon brother ad kicked it toward Ryuzaki, who blasted it with a gaint blast. May and Sandra were amazed.

Sandra: Wow! They defeated one of them!

May: He might have impressed us, but it didnt kill the demon...............look.

May was right, the demon slowly got back up.

Demon brother #2: Well that was pathetic...........got anything else for me hm?

He teleported away, and reappeared behind the two girls, who slowly turned around.

Ryuzaki: Oh no you dont you little evil monster!

The demon brother was about to hit the girls until Ryuzaki slammed it down, kicked it in the air, and did a double team attack combo on it with Nova.

May: We really should watch out backs Sandra.

Sandra: yeah, true.

She sat down and watched for anything that might make any sudden movements. Emerald was fighting a ghost brother, trying to slash at it with his sword, but he couldnt do any damage to it, it kept blocking every slash, and then cut Emerald down to the ground.

Emerald: Argh! I'm getting tired of this!

He shot three green balls of energy that hit the demon brother and knocked it down, then emerald jumped up and stabbed the demon brother in the heart.

Emerald: Finally got it destroyed. Now I have to go to the others.

May looked shocked and turned toward Emerald.

May: Emerald! Don't turn your back!

Emerald: *turns head around* wha-?

The demon brother got up and quickly slashed Emerald down, then flipped him over, jumped up, and tried slamming down on him, but Emerald thrusted his legs up for a double kick on the demon, then rushed over to May and Sandra and teleported over someplace far away.

Emerald: They can sense us, but they wont be able to see us.

Sandra: what about my father? And the others?

May: I'm sure they'll do fine.

Emerald: Yeah...........HOLY SHIT! DUCK NOW!

Emerald pushed Sandra and May down and got hit with a beam, which means a ferocious battle was going on.........between Chronicle and Joineth, who werent far away.

Chronicle: *teleports behind Joineth* right here!

Joineth tried punching at Chronicle but he missed and then Chronicle appeared next to joineth, the sides of their faces met.

Joineth: Get the hell of me you freak!

He went to punch Chronicle but missed yet again, then Chronicle came crashing down, slamming Joineth into the ground, jumped off him, and held his hand out.

Chronicle: Pity, I expected more.

then Joineth flashed his eyed open, jumped upside down and blasted Chronicle with a big yellow blast, then, he flipped himself and stood still, waiting for the smoke to dissapear. When it did, Joineth looked ahead of him in shock, because standing in front of him, no screatches or damage at all, was Chronicle.

Chronicle: Heh, very nice attack, but it looked like it had little effect on me....................

Joineth: No way! I hit him with full force on that blast, and it did absolutely nothing?

Chronicle: Looks like Mephiles gave me more energy than I needed, and I thought you were tougher than this Joineth! Maybe this'll be much easier than I expected.............

Joineth: *grins and almost falls on one knee* Heh, it looks like I'll have to fight harder than this, or else I'm toast!

Chronicle: Please do continue to amuse me..........I'm not done with you yet, and I don't plan on being done with you any time soon, so bring it on!

Joineth: As you wish, Chronicle, but I swear, when this fight is over, you'll be suprised at how strong I've become.

Chronicle laughed at what Joineth said and got into a battle position, as Joineth charged at him, their arms collided, and they dissapeared into the air, doing a multi-punch, as their deadly and final battle really begins!
