UPDATE: The first person's uniform has been corrected and detailed. Due to the similarity of a lot of the work that will be going into this, you'll only see 1 or 2 more WIPs out of this: one when I get the first example of a weapon colored and MAYBE another one with the lone Starfleet uniform in the bunch.

Unfortunately the scanner is not helping things...I promise it looks a lot better in real life! There's a lot of subtle shading you can see on the real thing that isn't being picked up.

For some reason, even though I SHOULD be working on Shadow Blade and the two prizes for my poetry contest...

...this occurred.

Yes, I have a fanfic knocking around in my head and I have come to my conclusion that the only way to exorcise it is by working it out of my system. (Never fear--I WILL still continue Shadow Blade editing!!)

I'm not going to give any spoilers as to what exactly is going on here except for this: what you're seeing from the Starfleet officers here isn't treason. Yes, it will get them in a lot of hot water when they have to explain themselves, but once everything is cleared up, I think any move to court martial them will be dropped. Nonetheless, this incident will be classified at the highest levels in both Federation and Cardassian circles due to the possibility of a public furor were the word to get out.

Two characters in this have actually been seen on Star Trek: TNG--Macet and Daro. Macet is the bearded man who looks a lot like Gul Dukat (same actor, duh), and Daro is the man knelt with the disruptor rifle. For their faces I used references, but the rest--thus far--I have just pulled off the top of my head. References were also used for the faces--not the poses--of Folani (the Bajoran ensign) and Daro, and also for the detailing on the Cardassian uniforms that most of them will be wearing.

I know there are A LOT of errors I need to fix, from problems with the uniforms to positioning (i.e. some people in the 2nd row look like they're stepping on people's feet, but it's too late to fix that), but I'll do my best. Somebody told me once awhile ago that I needed to work on how I pose my characters and make them look a bit more lifelike, so that was my main goal in this.
