First off the structure of this pic is mindbogglingly good and well set up, shades and use of lights and darks is phenominal and the realisim is jaw dropping. This picture must have taken some time for you to nail down all this detail in one fell swoop and really showcases your talents and the nack you have for graphite works. The look in the man's eyes is alomost sorrow filled and at the same time full of hope for something better to come along. It reminds me a lot of the homeless people I ran into throughout my travels and reminds me of how many people out there are not as lucky as those who have homes, jobs and stable income.
The Multiple techniques you used are impressive to say the least if not well implemented, crosshatching, lining and graphite smearing all add to that realistic look you give off on this pic.
Simply breath taking.
you have a HUGE talent for this type of work and feel you should try to do something big with it like portrait works or see if you can join up with a police squad to do criminal portraints or something like that.
