Looks pretty good. The scan's a bit large, so you may want to resize for more people to view it properly.
I obviously haven't seen the original design, but my only suggestions here are slight cosmetic changes. The torn pant leg on his right (our left) leg doesn't really make too much sense, as with a hole THAT big, the fabric would just be hanging off of him. The forearm spike doesn't look bad, but try to think of how it might work in the skeleton and with muscles around it.
Like I said, overall it's a solid drawing. Try to keep your line width consistent around the character border. It's ok to vary the line width, but try to keep in mind the light source when you're doing that. Lines closer to the energy ball would be thinner than lines further away from it. Just a little trick for indicating the light source in your line art.
