I think those eyes hold a secret...or maybe a few dozen secrets. Kenshin is such a beautiful person, and I can go on for days talking about him. After learning so many new techniques, I just had to paint him!
I'm not so certain about my realism skills just yet. That's why this piece was only partially there. I've been wanting to show my opinion of what a "real Kenshin" looks like for several years, and with the way I've been feeling lately...I formed an image in my mind and I went with it.
This is dedicated to Kenshin Himura, and of course, all of his fans. Mostly, though...this piece is just for me--an expression of what I feel in my heart. It doesn't matter what exactly I am referring to; just know that my feelings were poured into every detail of this painting. After all, I wouldn't have spent 22 hours on it if I didn't care about it somehow!

As i said while you were making this, I love this absolutely! The details, the feeling, the warmth...it's all there in just this one picture. The Sakura (Cherry blossoms for those who are uneducated) are just like i remember them so long ago! Warm and bright, full of feeling an radiance! There was not a place you could go when it was Sakura season that they would not shine and glow in the sun. But most of all, i love how the colors match and blend together.
But there is one of those things that gets you in this. Those eyes!
His eyes just seem to strike you with compassion and warm fuzzy feelings! It's as if he is peering into your soul! I love it! I really do!!

I love all the details. I spent so long just admiring the strokes, I kinda overlooked the background, which is awesome. The blossoms are downright beautiful and they eyes. They just make you... (searches for a word) (fails) ...I have no word in my vocabulary to describe what I felt when I saw them.
Don't state at this one too long, though. It sucks you in! Awesome, fantastic work! Those hours were NOT wasted, I'll tell ya! Be proud of this, you've outdone yourself, really.

You very well deserve the beauty of this piece. Don't you point out "nice level of detail" to any of my works now, because I know from what you've done up there, your tablet pen needs sharpening from all those strokes. And your favorite red and pink!
