This is a horrendously late birthday present for a TLKFAA friend of mine, KassyNaVerdis. She doesn't come around as often as she used to, but we do correspond be email from time to time.
This picture is several experiments rolled into one. I have never actually used Gaussian blur outside of Digi Comm, and the overall coloring style is still sort of foreign to me. (Not to mention that this is my first somewhat serious attempt at decent water.) Hopefully I'll get into a habit of putting effort into my backgrounds. There are things that displease me, but I just can't work on this anymore. DX
Overall, I'm happy with this piece. :)

Aw, she's beautiful! I absolutely adore your style; it's nice that it isn't generic like other TLK artists make it. Blue eyessss~

This is really beautiful. I think you did tremendous work with the sparkling water and the blurred fore and backgrounds really pull focus to her face. The planes of her face, by the way, are just perfect and I really love all the subtle detail such as the shading for her pelt and the shape of the flowers in the foreground. Those are some lovely greens you chose to mix, as well.
Really gorgeous work.
