This is Aoyagi Ritsuka (and he's a boy! ) from the Loveless manga & anime.

This is a gift for a very good friend of mine by the way ^^ Because.. well I don't really have a reason. She's just such a great friend to me =3 and a great and funny person to hang out with.

This started out as a rough sketch in Adobe Photoshop when I got bored. Well, I wasn't really bored I slept about 2 hours this afternoon and when I woke up, Michiyuki (ending of Loveless anime) was playing. It's a very calm and beautiful song and somehow I got this picture in my head, which I wanted to draw. I started to draw digitally and if that wouldn't work, I was planning on drawing it on paper.

As I kept on drawing in Photoshop I figured I kind of liked it in the end. I was suprised though, because I am not good at drawing stuff digitally.. AT ALL! Like.. with a tablet xD It's harder than you might think @@;

I didn't use the pentool for the lines like I usually do. I did it all by hand with a brush. I did this because I wanted to see how it would turn out. It took quite a while gosh. But I really liked the result! When I showed the clean, inked version to ~S-Pan, she told me it looked like Yun Kouga drew it herself! Woww I'm so happy! *_*

I am really, really pleased with how the whole picture turned out! I have never expected it, so I'm really happy x3
I had no clue how to colour the hair tho xDD I just randomly put some strokes there and somehow it turned out pretty good o.O How weird! It looked like everything was working out for me! And this was the exact picture I had in my head, which I wanted to draw so much *-*

Like I said before, I'm very proud of the result ^^ Ritsuka looks so happy and peaceful. He doesn't smile like that very often ._. boohoo! I think it looks very warm and soft too :3
