Sorry, I couldn't resist! I was listening to the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack nearly the entire time I was doing this.

I got a photographic encyclopedia of roses from the library. I love looking at roses and I figured they'd be good subjects to draw (the petals are near murder!). I've already got another one picked out I want to (digitally) paint, and I'll continue going through the book and picking out other ones. Hmm, I may even try some with different colors...say, a blue or green rose?
