Well I've been quiet for a while, but somehow I managed to gather motivation from unknown sources and got on with something.
This project was ideal to get me back into the swing of things as it wasn't overly complicated, but still required time and effort.
The building took about a day and a half, the unwrap took about half a day, and the texturing took about a day and half. So from start to finish it was about 4 days work, which I reckon isn't too bad.
Also I would have rendered it, but my render engine's gone a bit funny since reformatting, so a viewport shot will have to do. Flat shading is on, so all shadows and what not are in the texture and will appear as such in game.

I really want to see the renderized version. At this point, is really detailed.

Oh, that´s a good one! I like it!! The only thing is that the metal texture doesnt fit very well with the wood texture, they have different styles for me. I think the metal should be more damaged and old. Does this have specular mapping?
Jen Says:
It looks like the wood's been around for a while, and from that I get the impression that some of the metalwork should be rustier, to give it that 'in use for years' look, just a little rust though, to give it a bit more 'something'.
Cool work though. I like your 3D stuff. It's a nice change from all the anime fanart on this site.

Sweet model. I'm impressed by how the wood w/paint texture came out.

About "the unwrap", what exactly is it?
The wrap tool in 3DS makes it look like "the map that defines how the texture corresponds to the triangles" but that's all I have to go by.
