Lately I've been painting texture directly into my illustrations instead of using any of the techniques discussed in http://www.sheezyart.com/view/1618682/ . I feel like those processes should only be used if I'm not able to render or generate the sort of textures I'm satisfied with in the initial paint. Maybe there is a happy medium?
This piece is wonderfully done. The colors are so vivid, the shading perfect... I have a loss of words for this piece. This definitely deserves MUCH more recognition!
