The Darkside of Saturn

The rare piece of fanart that isn't a request.

I felt like being spontanious, and this turned up. This is for Bekuki, one of the few I am still (kinda?) in contact with from SMFA, may it rest in peace. It is of our two Dark Sailorsaturn's standing together, being...pretty/evil.

I've known for a while that she has had a Darksaturn. This is in no way relation to my own, since I knew she had a Darkmars for a long while and a team to go along with her. Though, she is the only other one sharing her name that I can find, which really surprises me. One would think "Dark" Senshi of the Planets would exist...but, apparently it's not as common as I thought O_o;

They're both totally different characters. Hers is very aggressive and rather socially acceptable (given the state of her team-mates; so Bekuki herself says!), while mine is very silent and withdrawn. Still evil, but they're both very different. And no; the only part of Bekuki's hair that is purple is her bangs, I just don't shade black with gray tones anymore

While I did know of her Darkmars (whom she draws a lot!), and I knew that she HAD a Darksaturn it wasn't until recently that I discovered that Darksaturn now has a design. I guess I got excited and went ahead and drew this for her. I mean, come on; how can you RESIST sticking to very evil Senshi of Saturn together in one picture?! Plus, Bekuki is such a sweetie and I love her to pieces (and her characters! I just wish she would finish some stories and profiles *eyes her*) and I haven't done any art for her in AGES. ...Most of it was requests anyway, so I decided to do something nice.

Besides, her Darksaturn needed some LOVE.

Okay. Enough rambling. I'm actually really happy with this. About the only thing that bugs me is my Darksaturn's face; it was off in the blank I used and I couldn't get it to look right :\ I think also her black eyes throw me for a loop too. The black on her Darksaturn's fuku seems a bit choppy...mostly with the folds :\ Otherwise, I really love this! I especially love the hair on both, and how I shaded her Darksaturn's collar. And her Darksaturn's expression makes me squee.

I kept the background black, since it seemed more fitting.
