This was taken January 2, 2008, and these kinds of clouds are usually called the "Sierra Wave" but they don't normally look like this. Which is what makes this AMAZING. I'm jealous that I didn't actually see this since I was out of town at the time, but I'm glad this picture is here so I can still be awed. I hope you are. You better be. Because these are the most epic clouds I've ever seen in my life.
