And now, for something completely different.

I mean it. I’ve NEVER drawn something like this before.

I was actually quite disappointed with Kung Fu Panda, had an “already done to death” feel about it…but there’s potential in the framework provided. I dunno, Maybe I’m just a sucker for anthros.

But there was no Fox character. I like foxes. But “Fox” and “China” ain’t two words you associate with each other. Fox and Japan, however…

So, we go from one kickass martial art to another. Turns out the Emperor of Japan’s Daughter got herself kidnapped. Probably by Tai-Lung…you know…the Leopard guy…Or maybe evil ninja. So, the Emperor sends his top ninja to find his daughter…and somehow she thinks the Dragon Warrior is involved in the kidnapping. If you’ve seen the movie…well, you know who that is. If you haven’t…you can probably figure it out. Po. The Panda.

On to the character herself. Kitsune is a Ninja…and yes, she is a girl. I realize she’s not exactly shapely, but neither was Tigress. Actually, they actually kept the animals fairly true to form anatomy-wise, so I did the same with Kitsune. Her muzzle’s actually supposedly much longer, but she’s looking straight at the camera. It’s a pretty big departure, especially for a guy who’s used to drawings humans with fur, a cartoon animal head, and a tail. The way the legs are jointed, for example. Actually, I think the legs are too long for the style I was attempting to emulate, but it seemed alright to me.

As for what Lady Kitsune is like…she’s a girl with a history she doesn’t like talking about. That ring’s on her tail for a reason. As such, she’s strictly business, even more so than Tigress. She usually refuses help, feels that an entourage would slow her down. She actually carries a Bo staff AND two Katana swords. And Shuriken…and Kunai…the girl’s a walking ninja armory. And she don’t need no Ninja scroll, no Jutsu…just muscle memory and coordination. The thing ‘round her neck is a hood, goes up over her face, though she has to fold her ears into it. No ear holes.

Oh, yes, that ring on her tail. Well…I should say “Tails.”

Remember that she has a past?

Damn, there’s another thing I have to write, now…or let her fade into obscurity.
