So... T'is number 22 of my 100 pictures challenge, Mother Nature
This is the lady herself teaching her prodigy.

One thing that always bugged me is that people insist on the "mother nature" figure being eternal/immortal. To me, this seems like the -least- natural way for a deity of nature and life to exist. The way I see it, Mother Nature would grow old and die just like any other life form.
Of course, we cannot ever be without a Mother Nature, so as she ages, she creates and teaches a new one.
Lady Nature, as she is called by most, lives in Heaven for the most part, but in a section used most frequently by less-Christian entities, like Buddha, some lesser Olympic gods (the ones that don't inhabit Mount Olympus, also an area of Heaven) and other small deities and immortal beings.

This is a really cool pic! And I really like you're ideas on who Mother Nature is and where she lives. It's really neat.

Ixion Industries Says:

I always thought that Mother Nature would live, die, and then be reborn. But then again, I am god of the skies, not the earth.

Kori Says:

That is a sexy concept. Love the carry out.

Loki Hel Fenrir Says:

So much love for that... something tells me it would be a lot of fun to have a theological discussion with you .

As for the image itself I think that it brilliantly embodies the concept you described. The characters seem to always interact so well in your images to capture the mood. The spacing/poses/tension/expressions all works so well.

Leonid Feorus Says:

I love how her hands are large and weathered like the wise guide Mother Nature would be. I especially love that she is aged, you did a great job portraying a Mother Nature.

Chole Says:

This is precious~ I love the concept of mother nature passing her knowledge on to a protoge.
