lineart as giftart for me. I was tickled and really impressed with the quality of it, so I asked to color it. Here are the results!
For those who don't know, Kuromaru is the wolf-dog that appears shortly in the manga with Kiba's momma. He's missing an ear and an eye. On Damn Ninja Mux, part of Kiba's background is that Kuromaru belonged first to his father, but after he was killed, Kuromaru became his mother's primary companion. Kuromaru is a mix-breed wolf dog from the wolves found out in the Forest of Death. These giant wolves, much like the wolves in Mononoke Hime are mystical, intelligent, and can speak. Kuromaru had as much a hand (paw) in raising little Kiba as his mother and sister did.
Thus, he's still used as an oversized, fuzzy pillow from time to time.
