NOTMAHBABEHS

So my cockatiel sometimes gets it in her mind that it's time to make babies and she lays a clutch of 3 to 7 eggs. I used to take them away from her right after I found them, but then I read somewhere that that could cause her undue stress and I should let her sit on them until she got bored.

EXCEPT SHE NEVER GETS BORED. She'd been sitting on this clutch for over a month now, with no inkling that there's NOTHING inside. So I took them away and she freaked. Then she forgot. But every so often she will walk to that corner of her cage and start fussing all over again.
