A much older work; but I'm still fond of it.
Elise is only one out of 136 nurses in Dr. Riley's staff. She is known simply as "2", despite being the only among them that remembers her real name.
Like the others, due to Riley's parasites, she is somewhat brain damaged; but not as severely as the others. Unlike the other nurses whom often were bandages to cover the wounds caused by the flesh-eating parasites; Elise wears bandages in attempt to keep herself from becoming infected with them a second time.
She would like to escape, but knows that her own mental impairment would prevent her from getting far. She is not stupid; but her brain functions slowly and sometimes runs into a 'glitch' or two.
