Lomoraine, reaching out

I did this one period in Algebra and it fought through much adversity to survive until I could scan it in.

This is a character from a book I'm writing. Her arms are prosthetics which are laced with magical properties to allow them to function as fully as a regular organ or limb. To function as such the magic must lace with the mind which in the long run may cause madness in the person. Lomoraine is such a case and is both tortured by the strain of the energies wrapping themselves continually around her mind as well as her longing to touch something and feel it. The rest of her body ceases to exist as her hands that she hates so much begin to be the center of her attention and focus.

Sorry for boring you to tears, I just enjoy telling the story behind a character I draw as much as I enjoy drawing them.
