What can be said about the great Michael Turner. He was an amazing comic book artist who made his name known with the Top Cow comic Witchblade. Sara Pezzini came out as a beautiful New York woman with a strange 'gift'. Turner and Top Cow took us on a whirlwind adventure through Sara trying to understand this symbiot that had attached itself to her. Since that adventure he took his character Aspen and made his own company Fathom Comics in which he took Aspen Mathews with him and built the company on his hit from Top Cow, Fathom. While Top Cow still holds the Witchblade title, he was able to take Fathom and Aspen with him for Aspen Comics. Since then his company has created many new titles out there from Soulfire, Shrugged, Fathom, Ekos and other titles.
I chose to draw one of his characters Grace from the Soulfire series. I thought it'd be appropriate to choose her as the title of the comic describes how this man was in life. He was always wanting to be the best at everything he did. The fire in his soul burned brighter than anyone could ever hope that theirs could be. In my personal opinion, he did not lose to cancer. He won against this. He is immortal in his artwork and the memory all his fans and loved ones share. An artist can never truly die, as their artwork remains for generations to see.
I have disabled comments on this piece as I think we all just need to respect his memory and keep this simple. If you enjoy the piece

it in his memory. If not, then please respect the original creator of the character and myself and move along.
May You Forever Rest In Peace.
