I was working on a comics strip earlier this morning - I ended up hating everything besides this shot, so I cut it out and splashed some ink on it. Mysteriously, it turned into Declan. SURPRISE.
A really beautiful style against an equally intriguing method.
The facial anatomy is just lovely as you didn't include strong lines to define the cheeks, or forehead or even the edges of the nose and yet through inking it you have included as much depth as it requires. Also, the nose is really unique and characteristic, I adore the curved method of drawing it. Finally the details in the ear and hair are just amazing. I've never seen such definition in dark hair before without it requiring a lot of light, plus the ear, I don't think it could get any more anatomically correct.
