Love

This is for my cousin who's getting married this weekend.

My mum couldn't find a card that 'suited them' so she said 'they're artsy. You're artsy. Make them something.'

So I painted this.

Their whole wedding has this like bird and fox theme thing going on. I'm not really sure what it's about. I assume the fox is representative of my cousin and the bird is supposed to be his fiancee. But...I don't actually know. Just a guess.

Anyway. Went for a Japanesey kinda thing because it seemed appropriate. Animals and flowers are Japanesey right? Plus our grandfather was a Japanese history professor and served as a Japanese interpretor in WWII and was basically just obsessed with Japanese culture in general so I feel like it's got some kind of significance on that side of my family.

I don't know.

Maybe I'm just bullshitting.

Oh and the character thing is supposed to mean love. I have no idea if it's accurate. I just googled 'japanese character love' and that one popped up a couple times so I assume it's right. Sorry if it's not
