As soon as that other ship entered our warp signature, I knew it wouldn’t end well. And my suspicions were correct. The little bastard bugged out when a small fleet followed him in (with the intention of capture, from what I gathered), and his method of escape was rather inconsiderate. He shot out the front and caused an unnatural rupture in the warp. Jeeroid tried to hold the rupture at bay, but he was violently beat back 20 seconds later and then fizzled out. Then the people in our group started getting flung out of warp space in small groups. I shouted, “We’re almost through!”, But when the warp ended, I was not hearing the slight repercussion of other presence. I looked back at the hideous hole torn in space. An odd glow pulsated out of the jagged gash. I was the only one who made it out safely. Everyone else was probably alive, but they would all pop out in random places in space. Except for Jeeroid. I calculated the odds of surviving what had happened to him, but I already knew that the probability of just one of his body parts even coming out intact was extremely slim. I turned away from the ugly hole. I knew I had to go to the bounty hunter station to locate the ruptures once they occurred, mainly because Jinx had significant amounts of scanning equipment and superior manpower. I set a destination solution, spun my blades, and hyperspaced out of the area.
