Spyro and the Gold Fairy
This was inspired by the first videogame in the original trilogy, how I loved that one. I think it was the Haunted Towers level in the Dream Weaver’s world where you could get invincibility from the Gold Fairy, so that’s what I was doing when the idea for this piece came into m’ head. Spyro the Dragon was about as easy as a videogame can get, but it’s nice nostalgia every time I play it through.
This was an experiment, I had never done anything like it before, and it took me a solid week to get around to finishing it. (I’ve had a crippling art block recently. Not fun.) There are about twenty or so layers here, but in the end I think I got what I wanted from PS. Oy, it was hard getting Spyro to look like my style of dragon. His eyes are s' big. x_x Still, I think I captured the innocence I was after. Would you believe this is the first time I've drawn a fairy?
So yar, my tribute to Classic Spyro. :>

Eeee, the first Spyro game is my favourite video game ever! You make me want to play it right now, darn you! D8 I absolutely love how you drew Spyro. He looks so different, but in a good way! That is a very nice touch with the scar on his neck. Very nicely done! ^^
