Heart Stopper.

As I lay in this bed,
I hear the noise that I dread,
It's called a "beat".

As I begin to think,
I remember the sink,
That I cut myself upon.

My "beat" has now passed,
It took a long time to last,
And now I am waiting for the next.

The sounds that I hear,
Inside my ear,
Are very well-known to my head.

There goes my "beat" again,
Sounds like ten thousand men,
As I listen to the clock tick and tick.

As it gets quieter,
My warn eyes get lighter,
And I feel the blood rush through.

The heart inside of him,
Brings the dreams, and the lights dim,
And my heart stops with the intensity,
Of one hundred horses racing together as one.

I fall asleep,
And fall in love.
