Here's a really quick pic for Jeff Rogers (AKA Skorzy) for his birthday (the only time I had to draw was at lunch). Caerrick is a mix of eagle/gryphon, tiger, and horse. It's supposed to be stylized, and rather heraldic - real wings obviously don't look like that. It's pretty typical of the way I play around with anatomy to fit a certain shape and style - obviously real wings don't look like that, and the horselike face is very stylized (he's a meat-eater).
He is usually more humanoid in form, with longer hind legs, etc., but this interpretation of him was fun, too.
Done in mechanical pencil on parchment paper I had with me, with a bit of Photoshop 7 tweaking.

this is very cool. i love his expression, and im always a big fan of dragon claws! plus, the hair on his head and neck looks so fluffy, like i want to pet it but im scared he'll bite my head off! and of course the wings. i can barely draw them in regular fashion, let alone fitting them to a circular shape! it looks kinda celtic to me... very nice. i love this.

The circular composition of this one is well thought out! The wings look like they're reaching towards me.
