Here I've colored
's lineart for a mini-contest that she's having. This is her character Valentine.
Since we're allowed to pick any combination of colors I chose to do a more arabian themed look with her outfit. Near the end of finishing this I realized the color schema is similar to Princess Jasmine from Aladdin.
But I like it that way. The main outfit was teal and since teal is a mixture of blue and green I made the hearts red(complimentary to green) and the outfline of her golden clasps orange(complimentary to blue). I chose gold because I felt it looked better with the teal than the regular silver. I felt black would be too harsh and I didn't want her blonde like
already had so I went with brown. I dind't have a Light Tan prisma marker so I took Light Peach as the fist layer and went over it with a LIGHT second layer of Sienna brown. I also colored the skin differently than I normally do. But I have to say I kind of like it. It almost looks like paint-brush strokes. The eyes were done in a lighter blue to brighten up the overall picture and to compliment the teal.
