This is how I ink in Photoshop.
It's just a quick little clip, not very long, but that's how I do it and I felt it would be agonizingly boring to watch me ink the whole thing.

Especially since this picture isn't actually going to get completely inked/finished.

Oh, interesting method. I see you just make fillable selections--have you tried just making a singular line and filling the path with a stroke? It saves you the trouble of having to fill it yourself. :)
