Description

Father's Day gift for my dad. His favorite movie is Luc Besson's The Fifth Element. It's a big favorite of mine, too.

This, of course, is The Diva, Plavalaguna, in the famous scene where she performs the aria "Il Dolce Suono", the "mad scene" from the opera Lucia di Lammermoor in the grand concert hall in Fhloston Paradise. I hope I managed to evoke the same kind of feeling, though I fear I haven't made this nearly dramatic enough to capture how truly epic it all is.

Well...At least, I hope my dad likes it. I don't think he really likes my art.

Oh, wow.
Not only is this an awesome idea, you exhibited it perfectly.
The movement is very nice. You captured the character quite nicely.
And good usage of blue-blending! :]

Oooh that is fantastic! The blue is amazing - perfect perfect hue. The blending down her is really fab - what kind of markers did you use?

She really fits well with your style. If he doesn't like it he's a goober! So says the Juno!

I loved that scene, the song was kick ass, and her singing was Freaken amazing for an alien.

Awesome gift also.

I knew it was her! I am a huge fan of the movie myself... the singer who did the part did it well.

This is pretty cool. I've never seen the movie, but it looks like you did a pretty good job capturing the character (yay Google Search!)... Also, WATERCOLORS!
It looks a little plain, though... the background.

Rikki Merie Says:

Very bright, I love how the stage is almost magical...with how you mixed the light blue and the yellow. I think you capture her elegance and beauty

Shadow Dinosaur Says:

Expressive. I also enjoy the amount of blue you have used here
