Finally decided to play Mystery Dungeon 2, and in it I picked Charmander as my partner.
I'm not very far in it, so the only thing I ever really have equipped to him is a Power Band, but it's better than nothing - boosts his Scratch attack quite a bit at least.
Yes I fail at fire.
