So here it is, my English rendition of the Lucky Star song Motteke! Sailor Fuku. Yes, I took a lot of creative liberties with the lyrics, since I view this song to be more of a representation of the anime fandom for everyone who isn't Japanese.
There are some rhythm differences too, obviously, since I have a hard time squashing English syllables into all that Japanese phrasing. But I did try to add some vowel familiarity throughout to make it feel a bit like the original version.
My laptop is in for repairs, otherwise I'd totally record this professionally and post it. But it'll be another week before I get it back, so wait until then mmk? D:
Later on, I may write a second set of lyrics that follow the Japanese ones more faithfully, which will be a challenge since a lot of it is just nonsense and random phrases. I'll do my best though~ And yes, THAT one would include "DA-DA-DA-DA-DAAAAA."
If you'd like to give this a shot, you can find the full version of Motteke! Sailor Fuku with its voices or karaoke all over the internet. Try Gendou.com, for example.
