I'm not a fan of Death Note, but I think you did a pretty good job of it. I've seen your other art and agree, it could be better. But I still really like how you did it. =]

Regardless of whether it's your best work or not, it's still a damn fine piece, fanart or not.
I really like how you blended the colors, particularly in Light's hair.
Why all so negative? only because it's fan art? isn't that just as sad as it would be if something is on the front page for being fan art?
I think you made Ryuk look very well, I really like how he looks at your picture well done.
There were like 6 Death Note fanarts on the Popular Arts page when i found this. I like this sort of art because it's not an over-used pose or color scheme. though it may have common characters, it's obvious that you put some real creativity of your own into this. i dunno

This is not so good that it deserves frontpage.
It is, however, Death Note Fanart, and as such, I feel like it will BECOME front page.
I'm downvoting it not because it's a bad picture, but because it doesn't deserve front page.
