Ah, well, at least I like this one better than the last one. xD
There are some things I know aren't right, but I really had no way of fixing it because I was either too far into what I was doing, or I wasn't really sure how to fix it.
Give me a couple days and I'll want to crumple the whole picture and toss it in the trash. *le sigh* Anyhoo, she sure looks a lot better in this one than she did in the last. *nod nod* The red hair looks a lot better on her, and it fits her more.
Welp, anyway, I hope the people that [i[do see this enjoy it somewhat. :3
Now, for some info-mation!
This is the second OC in my set of portraits, Gwendolenne. AND YES, I know that's spelled odd but the real way you're "supposed" to spell it looked . . . odder. This spelling has of a more feminine, 'roll-off-your-tongue' look. xP
Anyway-- Gwen is a Valedor (a mage not limited to any element of magna [magic
.gif "Nudge nudge, wink wink ;)")
] or set of sub-elements of magna) particularly gifted with light magna and light sub-elements (air, water, and earth).
She resides in southern, tropical Caligonian territory, in a small, secluded village not even on Caligon's map.
In her small village, Dorro, she quietly teaches other Valedors in the area magna, tends to her gardens, chases the chickens when they get loose in the front yard . . . generally, Gwen just keeps herself very busy doing anything that strikes her fancy.
She's infamous for combining magna spells with disastrous consequences. In fact, the only reason people know she's alive is from the fact there is a consistent racket from all her experimenting.
Despite her life as a hermit, Gwen truly does enjoy the company of people. Over ten years ago, she resided in Caligon’s capital, Exoriam, with her parents and sisters. Due to her slow, Darkuan-blood aging (which is present in all Caligonians), she was sixteen at the time.
However, tense circumstances and heartbreak forced her to leave a few years after. Since then, Gwen has quietly minded her own business, only appearing in larger towns when it was absolutely necessary.
Now about twenty-two, she’s finally leaving Dorro to return to Exoriam for the first time in many years and train her newest student.

But the hair is loverly! I always lurv the hairs. :) The eyes are very pretty, and I like that she has thicker eyebrows, not pencil-thin ones. I do think her eyes are a little small; but maybe this is the style you are looking for? Everyone has their own beat, as they say.
