Payback- Chapter 4

When she came to, the first thing she noticed was the fact that she was still in teh courthouse. Then she heard his voice. She didn't know who it begonged to, but it was the most beautiful thing she had ever heard.

"I think she's awake!" she heard him say.

"Thank the Lord," came a female voice.

Slowly, cautiously, she opened her eyes. she heard him gasp and the hand on her shoulders tightened. She looked around at teh strange faces, all tear stained from sobbing, some looking releived, some still concerned. She seen a fair lady with straight long black hair and light blue eyes, a tan man with short blond hair and hazel eyes and an emerald green tophat. He spoke to her ever so softly.

"Miss? Are you alright?"

She turned her eyes upon his face. Her heart skipped a few beats as she looked over his face. His medium length jet black hair, his perfect face, those supple lips, his beautiful blue eyes, even his glasses are perfect on him. Coming back down to earth, she tried to sit up. he seen what she was trying to do, and he rushed to gently help her up. His touch was so gently, it was his support behind her that kept her from falling.

"Easy now," he said.

he sat down beside her and put his arm begind her shoulders and helped to support her. She hazed over into his face, and realized the distorted look on his face was not disgust, but concern.

"You hit your head there pretty hard. Does it hurt?" he asked her.

She tried to speak, but the words seemed to be getting caught in her throat, so she just nodded. She went to stand, but fell back down because a sea of dizziness overtook her. He put his arm around her waist and slowly raised her to her feet. At that moment, no one else existed.

She was finally standing, with him still holding her by the waist.

"Can you stand?" he asked.

She tried her legs, and shook her head sadly. she looked at him with an apologetic expression, hoping she was getting her point across.

Apparently she was, because he said to her "Don't worry about it. I will take you to the hospital. You want to go to St. Elizabeth's?"

she fervently shook her head, trying to plead, but too upset to speak more than a few words.

"No, please, no!" was all she could manage with tears streaming down her face.

He stopped dead in his tracks and almost dropped her. If it weren't for the tiny hands around his neck, he would have. He was shocked to hear her speak. That tender, pleading voice did something to him.

The tears flowed from her eyes and all she could say was "No. Please, no." She was sobbing, and he, not knowing what else to do, turned her to him and embraced her. He tried to console her, but she wouldn't stop crying.

She couldn't move, so he picked her up. she was still sobbing when he said "It's okay, I'll just take you to Northside." all she could do was nod her head in agreement.

He gently carried her to his little green car and tenderly put her in the fron seat and closed the door. He then got in the driver's side and began to drive to the hospital to get her checked out to make sure she wasn't seriously hurt. She began to fall asleep after she exhausted herself from crying. She still couldn't believe she was in his car such a short time after she met this handsome stranger.

"I'm so sorry for all teh trouble," she said.

"Oh, it's no trouble at all, I assure you. I don't mind taking a pretty thing like you to the hospital. Justin's the name."

"Emily. Very nice to meet you."

"The pleasure's all mine." He looks her up and down as they stop at a stop sign. "Really. You are the Perfect girl aren't you, Emily."

She blushed ferociously. "Now i wouldn't say 'perfect'."

"I would. You are. "

"Thank you," she replies as they pull up to a red light.

"Pretty and polite? Wow! What a combo! You want or need anything?"

"A couple of things, but the one you can't give me."

"try, me. You'd be surprised."

"Okay. I need a drink right now because i'm parched, and i really need someone to make love to."

"Okay, fine. I'll pull up to McDonald's(c) and get you some pop, and then we can make out in the backseat in the parking lot. How's that sound?"

All she could do was look at him as he pulled into McDonalds(c) and ordered her something to eat. When he got her food, he pulled into a parking place and turned off the car. He kept his beautiful eyes on her as she delicately ate her foo. She didn;t want him to see how sloppy she could be. After all, she thought, it is a nice car. But why is he looking at me like that?

When she had finished, she glanced over to find him still staring at her with those starry blue eyes.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" she managed.

His eyes brightened up, and he gave her the biggest smile he could manage.

"because," he said, leaning in a little. "You've got" he leans in a little more, "something." a little more, "right," little more, "here". His lips connect with hers for a single second, then he pulls away reluctantly.

Those lips, she thought, so soft. Need more. She grabs the collar of his black button-up and pulls him in for another kiss, and he willingly follows. She leans back against teh door and he is now on top of her. Elecric currents seem to be running through her basy. She just can't get enough of this delicious stranger.

Somehow, they ended up in the backseat of his car, all the while they were making out. She was so caught up in this much needed moment, that the piercing pain at the back of her skull didn't register.

Her hands began to wander down from the strangly hold she had on his neck. He sensed what she was doing, and his heart skipped a few beats. Not because of what she was going to do, but because he knew she couldnt do anything to stop her. Her hands, seeming to have a mind of their own, reached their destination and diligently began their task.

She gently unbuckled his black leather belt, and, one by one, seductuvely removed it from the loops on his khakis. That's the last thing she remembers.
