Well, here's the start of it all.
And by that I mean, this was the first piece of art that I have considered myself genuinely proud of since going to art school, and accept as a big step towards developing my style of linework and coloring. So here's to you, Mr. Lumberjack.
Oh, and right, he doesn't have an axe folks. What do you think those massive paws and muscles are for?

I'd seriously give this guy a hug if I ever met him IRL. He looks like he's just askin' for it.gif)

I really like the unique style here.
It's refreshing to see someone taking a very realistic anatomical sense and working it into a new style, especially as you can see very nice and accurate detailing in the face, plus the hands and body are generally very well done. The little details here and there make this even more of an aesthetic treat, while the colouring reflects a lighter and balanced notion to it.
Overall very well done with a fantastic style and concept!
Lovely work.

A very recognizable drawing style. Love the details and the perspective. Not to mention the "ruggedy" look about him.

He looks indeed as if he could just walk over to a huge tree and just rip it out with his bare hands. Really nice!
